Steps:
1. Fill a bowl with water and place a few matchsticks
on top of the water to form a circle.
2. Slowly dip the sugar cube or cotton cloth into the center
of the matchsticks and watch the matchsticks come closer together
on the surface of the water.
In this experiment, the matchsticks come closer together
(move in) as the sugar cube or cotton cloth absorb some
of the
water and causes an increase in the surface tension..
